Rain Totals for the past 7 days

Pine Cove got almost 11 inches of rain. That means up high there will be plenty of white stuff. About 3½ inches fell on Palm Springs.

If you think it was bad here, the Sierra Nevada was worse. One of the hikers drove up to the 7000 ft level on the Whitney Portal road and parked his car for a hike the next day. When he got back it was snowed in and he will have to leave his car there until the snow melts, which could be a few months.

Lytle Creek was deluged with 26 inches of rain during this storm. 13 victims were rescued from 8 water rescues.

A bunch of hikers were rescued from the Holy Jim trail near Trabuco Canyon in Orange County when the creek became uncrossable
