Partly because I'm worried about the fate of Skyline with the land swap, partly because I've never done the hike before, and partly because the season is coming to a close, I am itching to climb this Saturday.

Is anyone else planning to hike Skyline on Sat, in spite of the incoming weather? I'd love to tag the summit if the snow and rain isn't too miserable, but my girlfriend doesn't like the thought of me hiking so far alone.

Hi Feeel,
I'm sure there will be others on the route this weekend, as the window of opportunity may be closing due to imminent snow sooner or later.

Many begin around 4 or 5, a few of us a bit later. Some hike at a strong pace, so you probably wouldn't want to try to hang only to be burned out before Flatrock, where the tough area really begins.

Hope you finds some company, I may be on it Sat or Sun, will say hi if I come across a lone soul, or maybe you'll have company by then.

can't imagine it'll be too crowded if it's raining. by the time you get to 7000' and it's raining, you're gonna get cold.
