Trail maintenance

Postby zippetydude » Sun Oct 31, 2010 11:48 pm

Now that all that hubub about shortcuts is over, please notice that two of the people who love to go fast switched to a 7 hour pace to do some trail maintenance this past week. Overgrown sections of the main trail were trimmed back, rocks were cleared from the trail, and in some sections where the trail had deteriorated, it was resurfaced and restored. Just a typical (actually previously planned) effort to do what's best for the trail (and for everyone concerned). Hope it works out better for everyone. Especially where there's greater visibility now - I'm always afraid I'm gonna step just on the other side of that bush and get bit by a rattler. Only a select few know this, but I hate snakes!@
