C2C2C hike on Sunday, Nov 7... NOT Monday, Nov 8

Postby Solbeachdog » Sat Oct 30, 2010 10:57 pm

I hiked C2C on Oct 23, but after a late start, I ran short of daylight for the descent. Heading back on SUNDAY, November 7th for the full C2C2C. I'll be taking it easy, targeting an 11-12 hour round trip with a 6:00 AM start at the Art Museum.

Any company is welcome, especially if you know the trail. :)

Moved to Sunday instead of Monday

Decided to go on Sunday, mostly because I'm impatient. 6:00 AM start.

Congrats on your C2C. Wish I could join you on Sunday, but I can't. You'll be more likely to find company to hike with on Sunday than Monday. You call targetting an 11-12 hour round trip "taking it easy?" I don't think I could keep up with you! Have fun!

Thanks, Sally. I figured there'd be more people on the trail on Sunday, so that's a bonus. I passed what seemed like dozens last weekend.

Based on how long it took to do the C2C, I just figured the 11-12 hours would be a safe estimate, but I don't know what's normal for the full distance. I guess we'll see. :)

That's my daughter, sleeping through a long hike in Tuscon. She is a bit of a monkey, but she certainly doesn't hold me back. ;)
