Skyline this Saturday?

So i'm planning on doing Skyline (at least) this Saturday but was wondering if anyone has the latest on possible snow? I can't seam to find accurate forecast but know that there is some weather moving in on Friday. i don't mind inclement weather and actually enjoy it sometimes.

Im bringing a very capable friend who has done several Ironman's but never this hike...once we get to the tram we will decide if we will go to the summit. Im sure i'll see some of you out there we are starting at about 6am.

I've been watching the forecast as well. Would love to go with some active weather, but don't want to get caught in bad weather. Just going to upper Tram station, but taking a friend who has never hiked Skyline. I guess it's just wait and see...

The weather forecast is for a 30% chance of rain at the upper tram and snow at the peak.

I'll likely be back out this Saturday. With the cooler temperature, I may even start later -- say 6 AM I enjoy being rained on and snowed on while hiking Skyline -- then it isn't hot on the Never Ending Ridge

Looks to be a 40% percent chance of snow on the summit of San Jacinto for Saturday.

It will be interesting to see if Skyline tomorrow replicates a hike Lance and I did in the fall of 2005. We started getting rained on at the Never Ending Ridge. The snow started before the traverse. As long as one has the proper clothing, it's fun

According to the National Weather Service there is a wind advisory for the desert slopes. Wind gusts of up to 50 MPH are expected. Have fun.

Sweet! I love inclement weather, adds a new flavor to a trail I enjoy. If time allows, I may do a slow Skyline after the TRC tomorrow. I'll bring a jacket!

My hike to Painted Canyon is meeting at Starbucks on Varner near Washington at 10. If you wanna sleep in you can come along with me. So far I've only got a bunch of women going along.
