San Jacinto trails

Postby DUG » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:23 pm

My son and I are hiking to San Jacinto's summit via every possible trail this year. So far we have South Ridge, Devil's Slide, Fuller Ridge and Marion Mountain. I beleive we only have Seven Pines, Deer Springs and C2C2C left. Did I miss any? I assume that C2C2C meets up with the upper tram station so there would be no need to bother with the tram at all if we pull off C2C2C, correct?

Only looking for trails, so no Snow Creek - this year anyway.

We should be checking off Deer Springs on Friday or Saturday before we head up to the Whitney Zone. Then we just need to check off Seven Pines before we finish on Oct 9th.

Thanks in advance.

You missed coming from the Desert Divide via the PCT!

Where's the trail head for the desert divide?

Well, the PCT starts at the Mexican border. But the closest trailhead to the divide for San Jac would be Apple Canyon to the saddle between Antsell Rock and Apache Peak.

Mexican border? WTF? All this time I thought it started in Canada.
