Little Round Valley composite image

I camped last night (Thurs) at the Fern Basin forest service campground and today (Fri) climbed the Marion Mtn trail to the peak and back. Great hike and still lots of water in LRV. I wanted to share a 12 image composite i made of Little Round. The first link is full-size and pretty big. If you use Firefox you can drag the image around with your mouse ..

Full size image ► http://www.flickr.com/photos/fboyd/4867662394/sizes/o/

If that's too big try a smaller version here ► http://www.flickr.com/photos/fboyd/4867662394/sizes/l/

And i thought this was funny. There was a group of 4 friendly teen boys camping in LRV. This was their kitchen setup ► http://www.flickr.com/photos/fboyd/4867682136/

Wow! They lugged all that up to LRV? A two burner "suitcase" propane stove, a heavy household pan, etc. Must have been strong kids.

Very cool composite picture.
I wonder if they drew straws to decide who carries the stove and fuel. They probably thought it was worth it while they were eating their pancakes! (that sure beats oatmeal for breakfast!)

When my son was a boyscout they used to carry all manner of stuff with them on backpacks. Bottles of sparking cider to the Grand Canyon(even though they knew they had to pack it out). Full on gourmet meal makings on Sierra treks. 60+ lb packs. They were young and did it because they could. funny boys :D

LOL That's nothing! I saw some dudes carrying a huge beer cooler on their shoulders up that way the other weekend.

Great composite image, btw!
