Here are a few shots of what the NRR route looks like if anyone is thinking of doing it and wants a little heads up.

"NRR" means "Not Really Rational" which is the best description for most of Steve's routes.

By the way, for those of you new to the board, don't take my teasing of Steve seriously. Steve knows exactly what he's doing, and his routes, though staggering in scope to us mere mortals, are good, workable routes and are a credit to his pioneering efforts. On the other hand, I know very few people that can do what Steve does. He heads up routes that are technical routes (i.e. not hiking) putting up with heavy brush, difficult rock scrambling (class 3 climbing in other words), high gain, and high miles week after week -- and that's just to get to the start of his technical route.

By the way, just because you see Steve making it all look easy, don't think you can easily follow his "route" unless you really know what you're doing with respect to route finding AND are in extremely good shape AND have the experience to know what to bring AND are heat acclimated AND know how to do rock scrambling and technical climbing including high angle snow travel. Like I say, there are relatively few people who can even do what Steve makes look easy. My giving him a hard time is more reflective of how envious I am than any lack on Steve's part.

Hey bluerail,

This is the post I had been looking for... hehe.

So where is this route of yours located exactly? I'm having a hard time finding out which north ridge you are referring to. Could you please enlighten me? I am interested in trying this one out for myself.

Thank you :)
