Newbie.

Hey guys! I'm new to the board, but I've been lurking here for a while. I just hiked to San Jacinto Peak this past weekend for the first time and had an awesome time! (except for an extreme headache on the way back, note to self: bring aspirin!) I didn't realize that they were giving military free tram rides, otherwise I would have gone earlier in the month.

This is definitely an addicting mountain for sure. I used to think, why drive to Yosemite when Sequoia is pretty much the same. Now I'm thinking, why drive to Sequoia when Jan Jacinto is pretty much the same! (I mean, in terms of being in an alpine environment for a weekend. Of course they're not really the same.)

Anyway, I hope to do C2C some day once I'm trained up a bit.

Welcome to the board and congratulations on your summit Kyle. I too am a sufferer of altitude, but it doesn't keep me away either. Enjoy those mountains!
