z -- One often gets what one pays for in life. The Motel 6 is very basic -- a step above camping. The Hyatt is a very nice hotel.

Disclaimer: I like camping and my son would be offended if he thought that I really meant that it was possible for any hotel to be a step above camping. You all know what I meant! :-)

We paid $75 at the Motel 6, everything else we found at the time was $100+.

Stay at the friggin' Red Roof Inn*. It's literally just off Ramon Road...all you have to do is drive all the way down Ramon Road until it dead ends into the trailhead.

*They'll even throw in a bar of soap for ya too when you get back from tearing it up on C2C :)
