Water Availability - Labor Day Weekend

Postby aztazer » Thu Jul 22, 2010 11:21 pm

Howdy:

I was looking at a San Jacinto loop backpacking trip over Labor Day weekend. Do you know if there would be reliable water at 1) Willow Creek Crossing, 2) Deer Springs Camp, and 3) Little Round Valley Camp?

Are there any water sources near Saddle Junction?

Thanks for sharing your expertise!

It's hard to say for sure if there will be water at those three locations as late as Labor Day, although there probably will be this year since it's been a good water year.

Be aware that there is no camping at Willow Creek Crossing and no camping at Deer Springs.

There isn't any water immediately at Saddle Junction although there typically is water in Tahquitz Meadow and Skunk Cabbage Meadow.
