What can I say that would not make this TR boring?

I did see a lady when I was coming down from the peak..she had on a low cut Jersey shore type halter top and she was yelling at the top of her lungs at her boyfriend/husband.."COME ON BABY, YOU CAN DO IT!, JUST A LIL BIT MO" ..I looked at him and he was shattered, wasted, done..I couldn't help but laugh...

Cool Trail, still got plenty of snow in parts..especially the shady traverse around 9000 and from the divide to the peak.

Oh yeah, did see a couple of guys at the peak with full gear..plastic boots, clip in crampons and ice axes..it was funny blowing by them with just regular boots and walking poles...I guess they were just trying to be safe..Good for them..

Once I was past Wellmans, did not see anyone the rest of the day..great area going around Marion Mtn..beautiful

I went to a bit above the 10,000' level on Saturday. Was just tired of the wet soggy snowy trail. I have all summer to do the peak as much as i want so no hurry.

yeah, I was looking at the thickness of the snow..still looks to be over 3 ft on the summit and the stretch of snow in the shade on the PCT looks to be over 2 ft thick..still gonna be awhile till it is gone..

On a side note, once back at my car..I got on the 74 and went the wrong way and I didn't care..ended up popping out in Palm Desert..did see some cool hills/mountains that were completely rock..I wanna go back there, park on a turnout and hike up them..probably in the winter though..

I never stop at Morongo..but decided I would..I would gamble for 3 minutes then leave..On my 2nd play, I won $35..So, I really only gambled for about 20 seconds then I was gone :D

Hey Lcpl, Sounds like you had a pretty good day, and made money on the way home. I'm doing C2C on Friday the 11th june, is it worth me carrying crampons all the way or is the snow too soft up there during the day.

Cheers

Phil

Should I be talking to my lawyer about copyright infringements :D

Glad you had a good time out there, the snow is useful to put under my hat on a hot day, keeps the head cool :D

Hey Phil..I carried crampons and an ice axe all day but didn't break them out once..figured I wouldn't..the snow was fairly soft and I imagine will get even softer this week..unless it gets super cold, I would chance it and shed the weight..the thing I would worry about more is post holing, but you can only do so much with that..definitely bring your gaiters though..

Patrick, I never realized how much people say that! better protect it before it is gone..cuz it is a catchy little diddy..
