Lost gear on way to peak

Postby DUG » Fri May 28, 2010 1:33 pm

Hiked up Devil's Slide on the way to get as close to San Jacinto as possible this morning. Got turned around about 9000 feet (just before getting off the PCT) due to snow and ice. Shortly after heading back down I stopped to take off my jacket and misplaced my GPS (Garmin eTrex Legend - older model), my Under Armour beanie and my Black Hawk gloves.

I spoke to a few people who were headed up that way so I thought I would post a message here in case any of it is found. The GPS is crap - loses the signal a lot - but it has some good stuff saved on it (old hikes, etc).

Thanks......................................DUG

Hi Dug:

I met you on the trail today and found your stuff right where you said it would be. I have it, send me a private message or post an address and I'll send it to you. I live in Carlsbad so if you happen to live nearby, I'll even bring it over.
