Hello everyone, the first day of spring saw some precipitation/snow up above. I have not been up the mountain, but from here in Palm Springs, it appears there is a light dusting of snow from about 8500 feet up. I am guessing it is no more than an inch or two but that's purely speculation. It does not appear there is any below 8500 (i.e. on Skyline) but again we know that appearances can be deceptive. I will post tomorrow (Friday) on what I can see from down here in the valley. Perhaps much of it will have melted by then. However, people should know that conditions tram-to-peak will not be exactly as I described them being on March 17th. How much they differ I can't say. Probably not by much, but for all I know there is a foot of new snow up there. (I doubt it, though.)
