tracklog from tram to MSC summit?

Postby BobCaygeon » Sat Jan 23, 2010 5:51 pm

Can anybody point me to a gps tracklog for the trail from the top of the tram to the summit of Mount San Jacinto?

I have the tracklog from the Cactus to Clouds site (thanks!). I have converted it to GPX format if anybody's interested.

if your looking for a track for now, it's different in the snow. you will want to go through tamarack and up the miller saddle.avoiding going over to wellmans.it's shorter, steeper, and more fun.
trail got knocked down this morning, and with the snow how it is, it's like a sidewalk now. well, you know, sorta like a sidewalk. way better than the butt kicking powder it was.

missed you ze.

Thanks for the link.

I'm actually coming down for the Coachella festival, arriving a couple days early. Last year my daughter and I took the tram up and this year I'd like to do some exploring.

I've posted a trip report on my site for my hike to MSJ summit on April 14. Any description of the conditions is probably outdated now.

The festival was excellent once again this year, and there's a good chance I'll be back down next year. If I do come down, what other hikes in the area should I consider?
