Postby lilbitmo » Sat Jan 02, 2010 7:13 pm

There's someone missing?

It's 50 degrees out?

The sign is turned the wrong way?

Zip doesn't have his "jet engine afterburners going"? Or that he actually is standing still  ?

I give up? :D

Thanks for the pic Steve.

Patrick, I had to learn the way up through the Sid Davis drainage from these experienced people that are smarter than me. Lance and Ellen basically taught me the way, although I think everyone but me knew the route. This was my first San J trip to the peak in the snow. I also learned sign relocation techniques from [undisclosed hikin' fool]. The peak sign ended up where it belongs, but it had the chance to travel a little bit today as well. You might notice this in the picture.

The section above Tamarack was real fun on the way down, it was slushy and you could either step/slide or glissade safely and easily most of the way.

Incidentally, check out that knee and a little bit of thigh that Fernando is flashin'!

Missing

Postby lilbitmo » Sat Jan 02, 2010 11:11 pm

Steve, that avatar is from last Febuary in a total "White Out", couldn't see 30 feet in any direction - that's one time when GPS comes in handy, don't care what the experts say, it's nice to be able to see on a screen where I'm going or where I should be.

Zip - I could tell the sign had been moved, I just couldn't tell how far. Fernano's "Leg exposure" is scary and I was hoping we wouldn't have to talk about it  :D I also thought Bluerail was suggesting it wasn't fair he was not in the picture - someone photoshop him in, please.

See you guys soon, heading out to Icehouse and Bighorn tomorrow.

The weather is great, and Ellen's not sleeping in the cabin.
