Feb 17: Weekly Distance Run at College of the Desert?

Does anyone know if the Desert Running Club will meet for the weekly distance run at College of the Desert? I understand that there's 1/2 Marathon the next morning, so it seems quite possible that weekly run won't take place.

I e-mailed someone at the club, but haven't heard from them yet.

If the weekly run isn't going to happen, can anyone suggest a good trail alternative, preferably close to Palm Springs. I'll be visiting my retired parents over the weekend (2-16 to 2-18)

Dunn Road has as much distance as you want. Same with the Palm Canyon Trail (Indian Canyons, costs money). The network of trails near Murray Peak also can provide a lot of distance with the possibility of getting lost.
