That's simply amazing....Cy, do you have any idea what the world record for elevation gain on foot is? I'm sure it's something that would give Bob Burd a run for his money!

I tried googling it Ryan, but could not come up with anything more impressive.
I did however find something that you might enjoy reading. Keep scrolling down.

Your friend is a goldfish? Incidentally, who took the picture for the two of you?

It's a long story my friend. :D Anybody who has been on the major mountain climbing message boards, say, 2 or 3 years ago would really get a kick out of this one. Most of the slanderous postings have been deleted now, but they were really wild! And he was featured in I think Climbing and Outside magazines for the human-dog speed climb of Hood. He was about to write stuff about me, and I just had enough. And that picture is NOT me! But my friend really was wearing a dress at a Halloween party. That part wasn't Photoshopped.

Oops . . . sorry for the misunderstanding!

Of course, the confusion could have been avoided if I hadn't missed you at the Tram Road Challenge. My fault.

Guess we'll have to do that snowshoeing of San G. Speaking of which, if this storm pans out, we may have a chance soon. Tahoe got canceled when everybody got sick that was going, and I thought about San G last weekend, but snowshoeing isn't fun on 1/2 snow and 1/2 rock. It wrecks my snowshoes / Kahtoolas that way, so I stayed home and cleaned the garage. Now that was fun! Think the storm is going to pan out?

Yeah, carrying snowshoes and poles is not the most fun thing. I did a lot of that yesterday for a little bit of snowshoeing. San G would be worth it I think to snowshoe above treeline. Wanna go Sunday morning? NWS is calling for little bit of snow. Enough to probably not damage the snowshoes. If it snows a lot, would you like to ride the tram up instead? I might be open to Friday or Saturday.

Let's see what the storm yields. If it's a good amount, we can go South Fork to Dry Lake, up the ravine to the ridge and on up to the summit ridge. If it's a weak storm, then maybe postpone. We should find out soon! IF the bowls look good, we could even glissade a good portion coming back down. I did that once and it was a blast.
