My 20-sec TRIPLE SKY REPORT

Postby michael » Sun Nov 08, 2009 8:00 pm

1st skyline:
:D (started around 2:15 am )
--> :) (finished around 7:30ish...felt pretty good..)
2nd skyline:
8) (started around 8:45...verysunny/hot/sun-screen in eyses..used trekking poles like insect feelers till i cried/wiped out of eyes...coudlve used service dog)
--> :shock: (finished around ...forgot 2-2:30pm.. I think...very humbling...)

3rd skyline:
:? (started 3-3:30pm I think (note: check Rick Kent's post for exact times on 3rd sky when he posts it) ...I joined Rick and we kept a "will see what happens mentality")... --> :oops: (made it to 'flat rock folly' part of trail as i call it because i NEVER rehydrate/eat as i should at this point...)
--> made to tram right at 9:45 :D ...only to find door to tram building locked...last tram leaving..)
--> :!: :?: :!: --> went through various stages of emotion along with rick ( :shock: :? :x :cry: )
--> Then, screamed like little girl..i mean... :oops: ...used manly whistle to get inside building attendant's attention --> nice people gave us a tram ride w/out charge...though with a stern warning. We were VERY greatful!!!!

ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: I want to thank God (lotta prayer throughout), my new hiker buddy Rick, and the makers of IBUPROFIN, for without this post could not have been possible.

Afterward, Made 1st annual Triple "Drive-Thru" attempt
1st drive-thru: :D (started) --> :mrgreen: (finished...with stomach and I "agreeing to disagree"...nevermind...tired...)
2nd/3rd attempt: FAILED...oh well next year...

Thanks for suffering with me Michael! I don't think I would have succeeded on this one without a partner. Skyline after dark when everyone else was gone would have been an aweful lonely place.

Webster is changing some definitions:

Crazy = Three Skylines

Crazy Person = Rick, Michael & Stan

Sure glad I got a chance to meet/know you guys. Awesome day for all of you. Thank you for making sure I have a new "wonder if I could" to think about for years to come.
