Thank You!

Jean and I send a THANK YOU! to Tina's Parents, Sister Christine and the big guy Jason. Having the iced drinks, snacks and fruit was so very nice. Offering 15 stinky bodies a ride back to the museum was priceless. Without the banana and iced Gatorade I wouldn't have opt for round two. Thank you Tina for orchestrating an unorganized group of crazy people.

We also want to say THANK YOU! to Kathryn for having the snacks waiting up top after the 2nd trip ended. Girl, you can't imagine how I fell in love with a bag of Fritos.

The comaraderie and fun times have inspired both Jean and I.

Yes, thanks Tina for organizing (and anyone else who had a hand in it) and for setting up the car shuttles. What a great day! Always nice to meet people as crazy as yourself to take on a challenge like this! Thank you all for a great time.

Tina, you ROCK! Thanks for doing everything to organize this hike and your parents for the shuttles.

Also, big thanks for helping me with the tram ticket issue and letting me join you for dinner (and buying me dinner!). I owe you big time.

It was great hiking and hanging out with you. :)

A great big THANK YOU to TINA and family for the crackers, fruit, gatorade and rides to the museum. What a great group of people. Not knowing anyone but Mark...who left an hour before I planned to leave..I had no idea what to expect. I knew a lot of names from the forum, but couldn't put a face to the name until yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised to meet all the wonderful people that I met on the trail and throughout the day. In addition to my Grand Canyon and Whitney favorites... I have added the Skyline hike as one of my new favorites.

CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on completing this hike...whether it be a single, double and the ELITE group that did a TRIPLE.

If anyone gets to PHoenix or wants to do any Grand Canyon hiking... please give me a call... I'm always up for a good hike and the temps are perfect this time of year.

AGAIN... THANK YOU to all of you for a memorable hike and i look forward to seeing you all again VERY SOON! :-)

Howdy All :)

In addition to thanking Tina, her family, RMRU and friends for their support and encouragement, I want to offer a special thanks to Walt and Jean for their wonderful hospitality and for taking care of the bloody blonde hiker 8)

It was great to finally shake Rick Kent's hand (he had to stop moving to get on the first tram down Saturday morning  ) and to see so many familiar and new faces on the trail -- or should I say "trial"

From the heart,
Ellen

Tina, wanted to thank you for putting everything together, even though I didn't do the double and somehow you passed me without my being able to introduce myself, sorry I didn't recognize you in the dark? :D

Ellen, thanks for having me along, sorry I didn't keep up with you and the rest setting the pace to catch the first tram down. I've already marked it in my "Goals" to be ready for next year's go :D

Zip, Rick, Mike - Niceeeeeeeeeeee Trifecta. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Everyone else, it was great meeting you, I stayed at the tram until a super nice gentleman by the name of Andy came along and we chatted for a half hour before I decided that I had things to do at home, we took the tram down together and he shuttled me back to the musuem - thanks Andy the retired Gym teacher, you know who you are :D

Zach, Erich and Brandy - it was great fun doing my first Skyline with you guys, nice work on your C2C and exit via Humber Park, that was a long day.

Sky - I think that's the rangers name (as she introduced herself?) that stopped to talk to us for 10 minutes at the top of the ridge just before the tram - thanks for the laughs about all us crazy hikers - did you ever run into Jim Bakos, somehow I missed him at Flatrock?

Dave G. nice work on burning thru the foot pain, I'm sorry I didn't know how far behind you were otherwise I would have waited for you to catch up, once my "quads" were starting to cramp up I had to keep moving or I would have been taking a serious nap under a tree :D

See everyone on the next one, nice job everyone else on the doubles, I'm truly impressed with everyones hiking - you rock :D
