The pct remains invitng (to some, such as myself) and closeby. I try to maintian a ratio of time in car to time on the trail that is heavily skewed towards the trail time. I have slightly less than 30 minutes travel time lost for the nearby pct, so I do it a lot. Skyline adds about 15, and the San G snow adventures add more thant that. It would be all too easy to spend 3 hours getting in position to begin a 2 hour run - this is why I may seem repetitive on certain runs.
Does anybody else run into time constraints as an obstacle? I see lots of posts of all day adventures, and I wish I could squeeze in that amount of time.
Anyway, if anybody is looking to do a run with medium speed out through the trails of Whitewater, Cottonwood or Snowcreek, and we hook up, I bet it would be some fun out there together. Even if we just cross paths, it's always good seeing friends out on the trail.
