Any Ice on the trail yet, or has the warmth from the winds kept it away? Planning on hiking this Saturday

As of Saturday there was no ice.

Completely dry all the way to the peak.

Thanks for the info.....looks like I am going to give the trail a shot on Saturday as long as the warm weather comes down a bit....anyone else going this Saturday

califokat, I am planning to hike from the Museum to the tram this coming sat morning, oct 18th. The plan is to hook up with a Sierra Club group meeting at the museum lot at 4:45am. I will probably go with this group, since I do not want to climb solo, although I prefer to leave earlier than 4:45am. I am a slow hiker, I did Cactus to Tram in May of this year and it took me 8 hrs.
