PCT from Snow Creek up to Peak, tram back down

I had asked this some time ago, with no response, but as the board is growing, I'm hoping someone has done this and can tell me about it. I've done the first 10 miles starting at the bottom, but don't know much about the rest. I tried to find the middle section, but there's a very long drive on a dirt road to get there, and I only had time to explore a couple of miles of it.

Has anyone done the whole route?

Is there any water source at all along the way?

Captain Larry Liguori of the Coachella Valley hiking club http://www.cvhikingclub.net knows all about this trail. I believe you cross close to one of the waterfalls.
