Nice work Ellen doing that alone was not easy - it was fun watching everyone post updates last night, nice work everyone. It's funny how those storms are always chasing you up and down that summit - maybe instead of "Queen of everything Green" we can call you "Storm Tropper".

If I can I will set aside that date next year and join you, only I will go weeks ahead of time and cache stuff like "Z-dude" did, it really helps to set the cache as one goal, then the summit, then the tram. Just knowing Hal was waiting at Black Mountain Road last year made the first stretch less painful

Glad you are safe and will plan a little "snow trip" with you very soon.

Very nice work Ellen, but I am so glad it was you this time and not me, and I can't tell you how happy I am that storm didn't get really bad while you were up there...although, you probably would have enjoyed it......for awhile.

You've got true grit, especially with some of the challenges you so graciously deal with.
I called the tram supvsr. and told him how to log on & watch your progress, (and sure Craig was doing this as well), just in case, that was nice for them to give you a warm welcome.

Deja vu -- a storm is coming in and I'm alone on top of San Jacinto.

Ellen, I swear I'm going to put a sign up at the trailhead.

Took out my cell phone to see if I had service. Nope Found out later that Hiking Jim (guardian angel and map master) had both called me and texted me to provide route guidance -- I was too far north.

Aw, shucks, 'tweren't nothing, ma'am. DANG glad you're back and OK.

I am definitely NOT buying a SPOT. My poor wife would be driven to drink if she were following my progress via the tracking option. I've never prayed before Friday evening to see another SPOT plot appear (in the right place). That thing is nerve wracking!
