Wow,
just think,
She could have tried to find an outhouse in Tamarack (only one in that area I know of), or under a rock shelter and wait, but....it would have been more difficult to find her,AND she would have been in serious trouble out in that gale force storm / wind.

I want the rights to the movie deal!!

Just think Ellen, you were doing that, and a couple over zealous hikers were clinging to life beneath tower 4 off Skyline!

I'm taking up golf??? well, maybe not!

Does anyone know which hospital Ellen is at?
I cant imagine crawling uphill for three miles in 80 mph winds
I THINK i would have have tried downhill. It seems like she made the right desision for her strength. Amazing!

Hi Cy,

Ellen is still at the Desert Regional Hospital. I attempted to see her this morning at 5:30am but the guard and nurse were having none of it. Normal visiting hours start at 8:00am and they don't want to hear anything about Skyliners starting much earlier.

I have a meeting through till almost 9:00am this morning and will try to shoot back over there again after that.

Well, when I googled her name, I found out there is another Ellen Coleman who is also a nutritionist in Mt. Shasta! I wonder what her reaction will be when she next googles her name, and finds 13,000 hits!

I only just learned about all this last night. This morning (tuesday) at 10 I went to Desert Regional to visit Ellen but was told she was in surgery (they would not give me further details.) I am going to return to the hospital this afternoon around 2 and hopefully I will be able to see Ellen and talk to her, or at least update you on her condition ... I will be posting later this afternoon. Of course, I am sure Ellen would appreciate your good thoughts/prayers that she goes smoothly through her surgery and recovery ....
Q: How many therapists does it take to screw in a light bulb? A: Only one, but the light bulb has to want to change ...

Its good news that Ellen was able to send an e mail. Her fingers must have healed fast. This story tells us a lot --
