Tina - when you do Whitney, will you report back if your ascent time is similar to Skyline? I use Skyline as a predictor, and it's accurate for me (within 10 minutes). I've mentioned this to other people, but I haven't heard of anyone doing both, so you're the perfect person to ask, if you don't mind.
I don't know if i can do it in record time the first time around but i will surely let you know. I don't get the numb part though???

There were thunderheads building up over San Gorgonio. From the top at 3800 feet , you can drop down a few hundred feet of brush and go up all the way to Running Springs. I will wait for cooler weather.
