It's been too long time-wise from the event to claim post-traumatic mental fuzziness.
Despite your protests, after reading your recent post I think you're even more of a SAR stud
I wore La Sportiva Nupse double plastic boots on Aconcagua. They were fabulous. I kept them in the tent at night so I could get them on in the morning. We never got temperatures as cold as yours.
It will be interesting to see how long it takes the fingers and toes to return to normal. Toes are also numb but were never as bad as the fingers.
