The SGWA Volunteer Rangers are hosting:

Informal Telescope Viewing - Saturn on June 25th at the Heart Bar Campground from 8:30 to 10:30 pm.

and

Rattlesnakes! Cold Blooded Killers on June 25th at the Greyback Ampitheater (1/2 mile east of Barton Flats Visitor Center) from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

I'm going to start calling zip, Indy Dundee..he's deathly afraid of snakes but has recently takin to eating them.

As far as new nicknames, the guy who gave it to me (sans head, it was in his yard, snapping at his dog) told his wife that I ate it. She was horrified. She now calls me "Snakebreath".

Somehow, that sounds horrible, don'tcha think?

Countdown til June 25th! I'm looking forward to seeing those who can make it, and plotting evil tricks on those who can't!

The reservations sell out very early, but I'll get a spot or two on the first come, first served basis the week of the get together. (I've never successfully gotten reservations, but I've been up there many times, so no worries!)

Anyway, I'll be up there a day or so early, then we'll go on a Saturday morning adventure. Sally is talkin' about cooking Sunday morning breakfast ( I love breakfast in the mountains!) and we can all have a fun time for as much or as little time as we have available.

So, it's getting close. Who's pretty sure they'll come? Who's planning on staying the night? Who loves to cook and is bringing yummy food?!
