Skyline rescue by climbers

Earlier on this thread Joe asked if anyone had heard from Torben Thomsen.
I just received an e mail from him saying he was teaching at Sonoma State University near Santa Rosa.
He said that on Sept 5 and 6 he took the tram up in the evening and hiked through the night down to the museum. In the morning he hiked back to the tram and then to the top of San Jacinto. On the way back down to the tram, he became severely dehydrated and said that he feared he was not going to make it. He was determined not to call search and rescue. He promised us a full trip report later.
