Try riding in a chopper that's flying like a bat out of he|| at tree top level with the doors taken off with a 50 lbs backpack on your back and a 23 lbs machine gun in your arms. Oh, and your seat faces the door, your legs are hanging out into thin air, and when the chopper turns hard right, there's nothing between you and the ground but your seat belt. Now that's a chopper ride.asabat wrote:Off topic short story: A couple years ago I was asked to go up a small local hill to provide communications support for a local fire and sheriff test. I'd been up there several times, each time by a different route, none taking more than 30 or 40 minutes. I asked what's the best way up. I was told there was a helicopter waiting for me in the cul de sac. It was a great but short ride, having never been in a copter before (or since).
