Really appreciate all of the advice guys! Based on it, i am planning the Vivian creek hike for the last saturday of septemember, then a 4000' hike up skyline to get familiar with it the first saturday of october.

Gonna see how things go, and I'm thinking, if i'm feeling good about it after that, i'll take a shot the second saturday of october! But we will see how things proceed :)

Found a great lil blog from Hikin Jim on the skyline hike :). Think the tips on the Coffmans Crag portion will ease my mind quite a bit when actually out there. :)

Once again thanks all!

Made it up thanks to Bluerail!

Was an absolutely great day! Great company, great weather, and just loved the hike up. Got lots of of info and points of interest from Bluerail during the trip. Felt like i should have paid for the tour hahah.

Already thinking about another trip next saturday :)
