And Yale Peak? Which one is that? Is that the one ESE of the saddle linked to above? Or is it between Cornell and Miller?

The one below Miller is called "the hump." Yale is the top of the cliff you see after the stream crossing on the Round Valley Trail.

I was just kidding about posting the pic, responding to the previous post. On the other hand, I'm kinda glad you did, 'cause I'm amazed by the pic - I've seen shark attacks that came out with more flesh remaining than that. A lesser blond would have called 911 and requested a rescue before losing that much skin.

Come to think about it, that whole non-trail must be littered with patches of Ellenskin. Perhaps the wildlife will make a quilt with it! You may have saved some fawn's life this winter with your kind donation.

But seriously, Ellen, you are one tough athlete. Hope you heal up fast.

Yale is indeed the peak to the ESE of Cornell. It's coordinates are:
33º 48' 44.61" N -116º 39'23.14" W. Or something like that.

Also, to get to Tamarack, I only follow the Round Valley Trail to the log, about a half a mile from the ranger station. Here, I go to the right, pick up the trail that follows Sid Davis Canyon on the north side and come out at Tamarack Valley. It's a nifty shortcut and I never see a soul.

(Just don't tell anyone).
