Nice Mac!!! How relieved did you feel when you first saw the ascending trail from afar... Victory was achieved before you even had to gain any elevation! How about that ;) Good work, and as 2600fromatari pointed out, I'm sure you will enjoy the fresh views from villager very much.

Hi!
Just to finish this topic off for good to wanted to report my successful hike to Villager Peak on Saturday May 14th. I say “successful“ with tongue-in-cheek because I was planning on a trip to Rabbit Peak and back, but was hampered mostly by a 2 hour late start due to strong winds at the trailhead. Secondly, for the first time in my life, I developed blisters (5 of them) that also killed my plans. However, I had a wonderful day, and have come back being a little more feet-wise for future hikes. My wife hiked up to the 2,500 ft level which was a monumental feat for her.
Thanks again to all of you for your helpful comments, waypoints, advice, etc that helped me find the right trail, and have a good time despite the winds. I plan one more adventure there to do the hike to Rabbit Peak and back sometime. :D
