No problem Jim. Based on your previous reports I was fairly certain of the water location on Deer Springs Trail and was even able to convince the group that went with me. We each carried 4L just in case, but when we heard the running water as we neared Little Round Valley we felt a great relief. This was my first ever backpacking trip and it turned out to be as described (Strenuous). We had a great time hiking to LRV and grabbing a campsite on Friday, doing the peak and heading to the Tram on Saturday and then hiking down on Sunday. Not bad for a newbie, but I was feeling it for a week afterwards.

Next trip Bishop Pass starting at the South Lake Trail on 24 September.

Greetings, friends! Are there any more current updates on water at Bed Springs Crossing? I'm heading out this weekend, and haven't been able to find anything current on the water situation other than that the spigots are dry at Little Round Valley, etc.

Thanks in advance!

Based on hikers postings on Facebook, Bed Springs Crossing still has water. I wouldn't expect Bed Springs to go dry any time soon.

By the way, there aren't any spigots in Little Round Valley, but there is a spigot (currently dry) in Round Valley proper.
