There isn't any dispersed camping allowed that I know of near the Vivian Creek Trailhead unless you want to backpack up the canyon a ways. There is dispersed camping allowed in the E Barton Flats area which is about 1/2 an hour away.

On April 9 I will be taking a group up to Mt San Jacinto. I live in Arizona but once lived in Palm Springs. I am more than curious how much snow is on the trail. Appreciate any new information. Dave
