Hi jonSanDiego and LuckyYogi, The name "Skyline" refers to hiking from Palm Springs to the upper tram station (which is what I did on this trip.) The name "C2C" or "Cactus to Clouds" refers to hiking the Skyline trail and continuing on to San Jacinto Peak, making for a longer hike with more elevation gain.

Thanks for the info as usual!

We'll do the skyline trail and see how we feel after the brutal ascent and decide if we have enough will power for the last 11 miles to reach the summit and back to the tram.
