The larger dog in the pics has hiked Baldy, San G (Fish Creek and Vivian), Tahquitz, Keller, Morton, Timber, and up to Lone Pine Lake, among a few other short hikes.

Great dog pics! Callie is so camera shy and ADD that I have a hard time getting good pics of her.

Super great report and pic's as well......my most favorite hiking trail... well deer springs is also pretty amazing as well....i really need to get up for a hike soon.....missing it terribly. Thanks once again for the experience.

Thanks for a great TR and photos, bschmalz! Was the stretch that traverses the ridge right before you get to the tower very dicey with the snow? A couple of times I've chickened out of continuing at that spot when the trail was very icy.


I forgot to answer this, and I meant to put it in the TR too, so I edited it to add this info. Basically, the snow was very soft so there was no concern on the traverse. Perfect conditions!
