Due to the weather and not being over the flu, I did not go and I am very happy I did not. I ended up snowshoeing up to Wellman's Divide instead.
However, one of my friends did go. We were invited to join some folks from the Sierra Club that were doing Rabbit the same day, so he hiked with them. I don't have all of the details regarding what happened, but this is what I've been told so far. It ended up being a 22 hour ordeal and the group likely would've spent the night on the mountain if it weren't for my buddy's GPS. Navigation via map, compass and landmarks was impossible due very poor visibility.
When I left for SJ yesterday morning, the weather looked good on Rabbit and Villager. However when I returned home, There was a large area of rain covering Villager and the ridge to Rabbit. I started to really wonder how their hike was going as that point.
