I think making a t-shirt is a great idea and I would buy one. The Google Earth pic from Summitbagger's post would look great if it would transfer well to a t-shirt. If not, making a graphic with cactus at the lower left, a jagged 45 degree line ascending to the right, and a snow capped peak at the upper right might do the trick. I think getting in the elevation at start and finish, as well as the overall distance, would help people seeing the shirt better understand how challenging the hike is.

Sorry I only have ideas and no illustration. I can see it in my mind's eye but unfortuantely I'm no artist.

Interesting, although BPer Mag is notorious for fluff and filler. The need a certain page count to support the advertising and are willing to cut a few quality corners on the writing to do it. Not at all like the BPer Mag of old.

Still, an interesting list. I wonder what criteria they used to score the various hikes?
