good question.....i have hiked the lower trails for years.......one year about 15-20 yrs ago i started to hike to the top......i got just past the picnic tables......coming around a blind corner i came nose to nose with a ram and his family.....as we stood eye ball to eye ball his family slowly, one by one, disapeared around the rocks behind him.....when the last one vanished, he! continuing to stare into my eyes, he turned followed......i rushed over to take a look around the corner to get a last look, however they were no where to be seen.....no trees, no place to hide behind.....but they were gone.....
i sat down, i don't know for how long as that was such a powerful spiritual experience i lost track of time.....along came a group that invited me to go along to the top with them, however by that point nothing could top that experience and i had sat there so long that i had drunk to much of my water so i hiked back down.........
