When we stopped at the ranger station to obtain our permit, Nick-SJM noted wryly, "I thought you'd used up your allotment of hikes on San Jacinto"

When we met Nick-SJM at the ranger station as I filled out the permit, he wryly commented that I've reached my lifetime allotment of San Jacinto summits

Does that mean you want to go again this weekend? :D

Howdy Patrick :)

San Jacinto does feel like "home" even though I live closer to San Gorgonio and Baldy.

Look forward to hiking with you again soon 8)

Did your permit authorize you to move the summit elevation sign?

It gets moved all the time, check other pictures on other posts, by other people, I've seen it held up in the air, put between legs, not saying it's right but it always get put back in the right place - no harm, no foul.

I think the folks on these boards respect the summit, the hut and the wilderness - nothing to get excited about :D I'm just glad it hasn't ended up on some "Yahoo's" wall as a souvenir. :x

What's a permit got to do with being an adult? but having childish fun?
