Party March 8th

Postby magikwalt » Tue Feb 26, 2008 12:08 am

I'd like a party soon. Please how about a party in the month of March? If Ellen can attend then its whatever location she picks. If not then how about some park I have been hearing about in Banning? Or Beaumont, or Cherry Valley...Let's just have a party!!

Party? Party good. :D

I think Cynthia may have something in mind too (although perhaps in the evening?) I'm a little tied up with wedding junk but hope to come and would love to see "the lady of the hut" (Ellen) if she were able to come. Heck, I'll even go pick her up and shanghai her to the party. :)

Anything sounds good for me. Cynthia, if you're all set, just post a date. If you need more time, we could simply pick a place like Walt mentioned and go with it for now. If we end up having an extra get-together, that'll be good news anyway.

Howdy Walt :D

You're timing could not be better -- I want and need a party 8) I'm going through San Jacinto friend withdrawal.

I'm happy to come out to Palm Springs if Cynthia wants to host.

Any Saturday or Sunday afternoon or evening in March sounds great.

Oh, and I'll pass on the sardines and cream of chicken soup

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

How does a Sunday afternoon bar-b-que at my place in Rancho Mirage sound/work for people? I can do Saturday, but my sense is most people hike on Saturday. I don't know if evenings are as good. I was thinking around 3 to 6. What do people think? I want to pick a time/date that the max. number of people can attend. Please post your preferred times/days/dates and I'll work to accomodate as many people as possible. First off, obviously, let's hear from the guest of honor, Ellen.

I am going to start a new thread specifically about this party, so prob. better to respond there ...

Oh my Gosh, MW and I posted nearly simultaneously. Victoria Park is a good idea (it's somewhat larger than my house) but we can use my house if preferred. Which do people think would work better? I'm fine either way. March 8 works good for me.

Sunday PM's are generally good. Michiko and I are taking a premarital education class Sundays. We get out around 12:30 - 12:45 PM, and it's probably a good two hours to Rancho Mirage. Earliest we could be there is 2:30 - 3:00, depending on traffic. We'd love to come, but understand that you've got to go when the majority is available.

A Saturday evening normally works as well. Saturday PM might work, but we're trying to focus on wedding planning on Saturdays during the day and keeping the evenings open.
