Parking pass at Humber

Hello everyone, I'm new here. Been going up to Idyllwild since I was young thanks to grandparents having a cabin up there while growing up. Last year my friend and I discovered the loop from Humber up DST to peak down to LRV and then to Strawberry Junction and then back down to Humber. Was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for obtaining a parking pass at Humber before we drive to mountain. Last year we had to wait for the local shop to open before we could get our parking pass, the wait costs us two hours of trail time. Any advice is very much appreciated.

You can pick up the annual "America the Beautiful - The National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass" and a hanger for your mirror and display it when you park. It's good at all kinds of places

I haven't been to Idyllwild in a long time. Does an Adventure Pass work for Humber Park? I also seem to remember something about the passes being phased out?

The Adventure Pass works at Humber Park. You can get them at any Big 5 or online at:

You still need an Adventure Pass at Humber Park and the Forest Service checks the parking area daily.

There was a court case recently where the court ruled that some of the criteria were not being met that the Forest Service has to follow in order to charge (charge -- i.e. the Adventure Pass) in some locations. The court didn't overturn the whole thing.
