Ze, Excellent job! Nice TR and pics.
I wish I could do that stuff but I guess I need to (1) get in much better shape, (2) get over my fear of heights, and (3) get crazier than I already am!

thanks. seeing Steve's pictures just made me want to go out there and see it once, even though it made a 20 hr journey for me (to and from LA). really really amazing there but definitely very demanding.

it probably makes an excellent overnight / backpacking trip, there are spots you could camp.

I have two modes...on and off...doing a trip like that on three hours of sleep means that switch easily flips to the off position.

nice tr Ze, and very nice trip. glad you were able to make it out here and that you got back home safe, I know that had to be hard after the hike.

that first little bump on the graph sure is a lot worse in person than it is on paper, or maybe it's just because your still asleep at that point.

How's the weather?

Postby halhiker » Mon Aug 16, 2010 1:24 pm

How's the heat index on this trip? It seems from the pics that you had a decent amount of shade and once you get in the gully is it somewhat cool due to the snow and air coming down?
