Bullseye Rock and Mad Women Spring (UPDATED WITH LINK)

Florian and I went out and hiked up to these areas today and had a great time. It was a rugged hike with a lot of cross country travel. My legs are sufficiently cut up to make me an honorable member of the Ellen Leg Laceration Club.

There's a new roof on the cabin at Mad Women Spring and no one had signed the logbook in two years. It seems a lot of people get there by helicopter. There were several entries of people choppering in.

There is a great Indian shelter on the way. I took some pictures there and one under an overhang covered with pitch from fires looks like it has ghosts in it. It's the only picture like that. All the others before and after are perfectly clear. It's pretty weird.

I'll post some pictures later and I'm sure Florian will, too.

Great hike. Want to go back and stay a couple days. I ain't afraid of no ghosts.

Update: Trip report and pictures here:

someone camped out beside your bucket Florian...they even had a campfire ! 5 fire pits i've counted this winter up there and only one seems to be from a rescue.

Did they at least leave some water in the cache?

One of the first entries in the log was my visit in 1992.

I'm curious what the approach would be like from the Jo Pond trail / Cedar spring? Have any of you done this? I'm thinking it would be pretty steep.

Reading log book entries at the cabin it seems many people hike over from Indian Spring off of the West Fork trail.
