Sat May 30 -- who's on?

Howdy All :D

Thought it would be nice to have a separate thread on who is hiking Skyline (and possibly C2C) tomorrow May 30.

I'll be leaving at 3 AM with Kathryn, Karin, and Maria. I know this is the crap of dawn but my Swedish ancestry prefers the dark to the heat  Also, if I decide to do the "full monty" and go to the summit I'll have more daylight to enjoy the experience.

My plan is to reach Long Valley in around 6 hours, see how I feel, and go from there. Heck, the tram bar won't even be open so I might as well keep hiking

So, this is the Skyline Roll Call for tomorrow -- who's on and what time are you leaving?

Miles of smiles,
Ellen

I might make it. If so, I'll be starting about 5:00 or 5:30, hopefully seeing everyone at Grubbs Notch. Not sure if I'll go on up from there - anybody got a guess if the snow is gone on the way to the peak?

I'm in. Start time unknown since I hate alarm clocks and bowel movements at my age can't be forced.

Skyline with an on trail decision about C2C.

Also a quick heads up...humidity will be higher than 23% if this morning was any indication. Prior to sunrise I will bet it breaks 45%. Stay thirsty my friends.

Walt! It's been a long time my friend. We still need to have a beer together as I recall. Lots of friends on the trail, and now a blast from the past...

I'm in.

I'm planning on hitting Flatrock sometime around 8:00, the notch about 9:00.

See you crazy hikin' fools in the morning!

Howdy Z :-)

Woo hoo -- it will be great to see you again 8) Snow is absolutely not an issue using the main trail from Long Valley to the summit.

Howdy Walt :-)

OK pilgrim, I'll see you on the mountain.

Howdy Tina :-)

Always a pleasure. I also want to formally thank Tina for lunch on Thursday as this was the highlight of yesterday 8)

I went grocery shopping at Von's in the Riverside Plaza after our meal. I came back to discover that some {expletive deleted} jerk had hit the driver's side front panel of my 10 year old Honda and didn't leave a note. My brother in law bent the panel back enough so I can at least open and close the door but I am NOT happy  Tina was the first hiking buddy to know and offered appropriate sympathy.

Like I needed another reason to hike Skyline and drink beer :?

Miles of smiles :) and growls :x

hopefully I'll see all you guys at beer springs . weather will be a little humid but it's cool right now. ought to be a great day to be on the trail

hope your up there too Scott.

Ellen, please take it easy on Kathryn, especially if you persuade her to go all the way up, please don't take out any socio-automotive angst on her legs.
