Indian Mountain (5790')

I tried to run to Indian Mountain from Hwy 243 via Indian Mountain Road (4S21) yesterday. It's 3 miles from 243 to the summit of Indian Mountain and the road drops 500' before climbing 800', so 6 miles/1300' gain round-trip. I thought it would be similar to running up Morton Peak, which is about 3 miles with 1300' gain to the peak and a 6 mile/1300' round-trip, but Indian Mountain was harder and I walked more of the uphill than I usually do on Morton.

Anyway, it was pretty out there. I took a few pictures:

PS: The road is in pretty good shape, so it would also make a nice drive in something with a little clearance.
