I am planning San Jacinto backpacking trip for September 13-14. I am very curious of current weather conditions. I’ve never gone this time of the year. How hot during the day and cold at night is it?
We will be going Humber Park > Devils Slide > Saddle Junction and then SE towards Tahquitz Valley.

As always, your feedback will be greatly appreciated -

Temps are pretty mild right now (70's day/60's night), but Santa Ana conditions could crop up which would raise temps. Then again, we could get a cold front which would lower temps. HOWEVER, typically, this is a pretty good time of year to go. You'll probably get relatively mild wx. After school starts is often one of the best times to go: fewer people but still good weather.

Here's a link to approximately the Tahquitz Valley area. Just keep an eye on on the weather. http://www.wrh.noaa.gov/forecast/MapClick.php?site=SGX&llon=-117.101247&rlon=-116.091247&tlat=34.234584&blat=33.227084&smap=1&mp=0&map.x=111&map.y=113

Give us a trip report after you're done if you get a chance.

Thank you for your response. This is exactly the info I needed.
