Looking for hiking partners for Skyline trail on Oct 25... or another Saturday in October.

I also hike Tahquitz peak every Monday evening about 5:30. Looking for others to join....

South Ridge Trail was beautiful last night.... a little much haze to the West though..... still beautiful.

That's the same day as the tram road race which starts at 7:00 am, so the road may close down by 6:30 or 6:45. (If you are leaving a car or bicycle at the tram.)

One of these days I want to do South Ridge. Maybe when it cools off in the fall.

The Sierra Club is hiking Cactus to Clouds as a midnight hike the Saturday before. It will be a full moon and I hope to join them. The hardest part is getting there that early. :)
The tram will be closed for maintenance during the full moon in September.
http://www.rmru.org mentioned a 75 year old hiker lost on San Jacinto.
Has anyone heard anything about it?

Thanks for the info... I would really like to go with the Sierra Club-- but I have an out of state visitor that day. I just read about the tram road race this morning-- kinda of a bummer. I was considering running over to Summit Junction and down Devils Slide. I live in Hemet and can get a ride home that way.

South Ridge has been relatively cool (temp wise) in the evenings. Just enough time for up and back if you start about 5:45. Beautiful views.
