1. You kept your cardio training going even during your downtime.
2. You carefully monitored the range of motion as you reintroduced hiking.
3. You followed the hike with some good, cold beer.
...Of course, follow-through is crucial, so steps 1 and 2 are irrelevant without step 3!

Ah! Eureka! That's the step I've been missing!

Ellen,

You must be that amazing person that crawled a few miles UPHILL with a broken ankle to survive that freak snow storm earlier in the year? I loved reading the stories, especially the wonderful outcome.

Yep, I was thinking about you alot last Sunday when I climbed Marion Mt. trail with my 2 sons. Our first time up SJ, but we'll be back. Fair weather hiking for now. :D

If we ever meet in person, I'm buying you a beer for sure.

Howdy Fight On :-)

Thanks so much for the support and posting the pictures of my (so far) one and only C2C hike last year on Cinco de Mayo. I hope to do another this fall when it cools off.

Howdy Johnny,

Thanks for your kind words -- I'd love to have a brew with you after a hike. You don't even need to buy.

Marion Mt. is a butt kicker -- especially during the descent on a hot day.

Miles of smiles,
Ellen
